Women play Koto –Japan

The Koto is sort of a Japanase zither, usually with 13 strings. It was commonly played by geishas to entertain men, and is more often played by women then men. Yes, that’s right, the vast majority of koto players are female.

As you can see from the videos below, playing the koto takes a tremendous amount of energy.
